Hi Julia.  VoxBo doesn't really have a single-user mode any more, so for now you would need to install it in cluster mode to get GLMs working anyway (i.e., you would need to install the scheduler on the machine you're using).  Dongbo or I would be happy to help you get it set up in cluster mode, it's irritating but not all that difficult.  Eventually I'll restore the code for single-user mode, but it hasn't been a high priority for a while.

If it's impossible to do a cluster installation on the machine you're using, an alternative might be to install it on a virtual machine.  Also not an elegant solution, but it does work well, and I can probably give you a copy of the virtual machine I use to build and test the code.
