[VoxBo] SPM2 Coregistration Problem

Eddie,

When you coregistered images manually for comparison,
did you use SPM5 or SPM2? And did you use old FirstEPI/Anatomical or new ones?

When I coregistered FirstEPI.img using reslice only to my anatomical (Anatomical.img) and then coregistered and resliced Anatomical to rFirstEPI, I noticed that the rFirstEPI and rAnatomical didn't align as well when this procedure with the same FirstEPI and Anatomical files were previously done (several years ago?). Unfortunately, the people who originally did this procedure are no longer with the research team so I don't know if I'm exactly doing what they did.

Here are the particular files I'm talking about:
Old Files:
/jet/kimj/tbipatients/tp01_s1/old/Anatomy_CASL/rAnatomical.img
/jet/kimj/tbipatients/tp01_s1/old/Anatomy_CASL/rFirstEPI.img

New Files:
/jet/kimj/tbipatients/tp01_s1/Anatomy_CASL/rAnatomical.img
/jet/kimj/tbipatients/tp01_s1/Anatomy_CASL/rFirstEPI.img

If overlaid on top of each other, the old files look better aligned than the new ones.

Any thoughts as to why this is?
