It's not surprising that .G and .preG files have different X scales,
because .preG file is an up-sampled version of .G file. For example,
if .G file has 150 time points and the original TR is 2000ms, with the
default up-sampling rate of 100ms, the preG file will be "magnified"
20 times (2000/100) and hence includes 3,000 time points (150 x 20).
Does this make sense?
