[VoxBo] Setting up VoxBo to work remotely

Hello everyone,
I'd like to set up my computer to be able to do analysis from my
office (in 3401 Walnut) instead of the CfN.
I'm running a Windows machine with WindowsXP SP2. It has 1GB RAM and
a 3 GHz processor.
I've download the Cygwin release for VoxBo 1.8.4, installed Cygwin,
added the VoxBo/etc/single file, and added the binaries directory to
my PATH environment variable. When I tried to test the installation
of VoxBo on my computer by typing in vbmaskmunge -h, I got an error
complaining about a "system shared memory version mismatch" which
suggested I download the newest version of the cygwin dll. However,
since I downloaded cygwin today, I don't think I have an outdated dll.
I should say that I'm currently capable of tunnelling into the CfN and
doing command line voxbo processing (like vbdumpstats, vbmaskmunge,
etc.), and all I really want to add on is the ability to open vbview
and voxelsurfer. So if it's easier to add on this functionality (via
X Windows, right?) than set up an entire installation of VoxBo, that
would suffice for me.
Thanks,
David January
