[VoxBo] build problems on Mac OS

Dear Voxbo:

I'm trying to build VoxBo on MacOSX 10.4.10.

I'm following the instructions on the 1.8.4 (OSX) build page for Voxbo.
I've installed fink, gsl, octave, and qt-mac as described.

I'm using gcc and g++ versions 3.3.
When I get to the point of building Voxbo, I get these errors:

dyn-74-251:/usr/local/VoxBo/src root# make
> make -C libvoxbo
> make[1]: Nothing to be done for `all'.
> make -C fileformats
> g++ ff_ge.cpp -o ff_ge.o -lSystemStubs  -lvbio -lvbutil -lgsl -lgslcblas
> -O3 -Wall -DVBFF_PLUGIN -shared
> g++: unrecognized option `-shared'
> ld: Undefined symbols:
> _main
> make[1]: *** [ff_ge.o] Error 1
> make: *** [fileformats] Error 2
>

Any ideas?
