Hi Daniel. Uncooperative users on the local cluster isn't really a
VoxBo problem, even if this particular user is using VoxBo to hog all
the machines (there are many other software packages they could have
used, we're just lucky they aren't rendering an animated feature
film). We're in the process of tracking down this user, and we'll
have those jobs stopped soon.
More relevantly for people not using this particular cluster, I'm
making a few changes to make this kind of thing easier to fix in the
future when the uncooperative user does happen to be using VoxBo.
First, I'm restoring the halt and kill functions in voxq. Second, I'm
adding a feature to vbbatch to restrict the number of machines a
vbbatch job can use. The default will no longer be all machines, at
least locally.
I should be able to release these fixes and a few others for all
architectures today.
