[VoxBo] normalization and origins

Hi,
I have a puzzling issue with the origins in my normalized anatomical.cub
files. I have run identical preprocessing procedures for 16 subjects. 14
out of the 16 have the origin where it should be, while the last two
subjects in the series show it somewhere in the left superior frontal
gyrus. (This is when I open the file in vbview and click on "show
origin"). Now I have a couple of questions:
a) Why would this happen? Does it matter that the "diverging subjects"
were the last subjects scanned, i.e., could there be a bug in the files
the scanner generated?
b) I don't really know in which steps of the data analysis origin
information is relevant, so can someone please enlighten me where
different origin information will mess up my data?
c) At which point in the processing stream can I set the origin manually
to make sure that the information will be correct for all subsequent
steps? (Note that I'm not using the bigprep.vbp script, but the
preprocessing script that is used, I believe, by everyone in Geoff's lab).
d) Should I, for starters, just re-run the preprocessing for the two
"weird" subjects and see what happens? In an ideal world, re-running the
identical script should not change the outcome, but ...
Many thanks for any thoughts and advice on this problem,
Katharina
