[VoxBo] emergency patch 1.8.3

Hi all. I'm writing to announce an "emergency" patch for VoxBo
(version 1.8.3) that addresses the issue Marina discovered with bad
stat maps. The bottom line is that there was a serious bug in how the
contrasts.txt file was being interpreted in the case when covariates
of interest are interleaved with covariates of no interest. It was
also very easy to mis-specify contrasts in RFX files, vbstatmap, and
vbdumpstats, because of inconsistencies in how the list of weights is
parsed.

This patch I hope cleans this mess up, or at least comes close enough
that you can trust the results you get. I do still recommend using
contrasts.txt to specify your contrasts, just to make things as easy
as possible. I know the last time I recommended this it didn't turn
out so well, but I'm pretty sure these bugs have been squashed. If
you do choose to specify your contrasts by spelling out the vector,
you should now list weights just for the covariates of interest,
whichever program you're using. If you list more or fewer, you should
get an error.

It will take me a little while yet to update the web site and wiki to
reflect this new patch, which for trivial reasons includes all the
binaries. A bunch of things that might have been helpful didn't make
it into this patch, including an updated txt2num that creates your
averages.txt files when you specify a reference function (a preview
version of that should be available this week). Release 1.8.4 will
almost certainly be out within the next two weeks, so if you have a
favorite bug that hasn't already been discussed, let us know soon.

If you work at Penn's CCN or CfN, 1.8.3 is already installed (as of
about 2pm today). Otherwise, read on.

For various trivial reasons, this patch includes a full set of
binaries and three plug-in file formats. This is a patch-only
release, so you need to have a previous 1.8 version installed first
(any one will do). To install the patch, download the right version
from the list below.

Go to the directory where VoxBo is installed (typically
/usr/local/VoxBo for clusters) and unpack the patch archive in there
with something like:

tar xzvf patch-1.8.3-linux.tar.gz

Here's where to get the patch for Linux, OSX, and Cygwin:

ftp://voxbo.org/pub/voxbo/releases/linux/patch-1.8.3-linux.tar.gz
ftp://voxbo.org/pub/voxbo/releases/osx/patch-1.8.3-osx.tar.gz
ftp://voxbo.org/pub/voxbo/releases/cygwin/patch-1.8.3-cygwin.tar.gz

Please let me know if there are any issues with this (or anything else
VoxBo-related).
