From VoxBoWiki

VoxBo can be installed in three modes:

• Cluster configuration — for installation on a cluster (requires root access)
• Single-user configuration — for use on a single machine (no special access required)
• Mixed configuration — using VoxBo in single-user mode when there's a cluster installation
